Youth Opportunity and Youth Capital fund available for 2010-2011
The Herefordshire Youth Funding Panel is ready to accept grant applications for new youth led projects and activities!
The Youth Opportunity and Capital Funds aim to give a voice and influence to young people (13-19 years) by fully involving them in identifying, deciding and leading on a range of positive activities for themselves and their peers.
The Opportunity Fund is for 'activities' and things to do (from £50 up to £4,500). The Youth Capital Fund is for 'things' e.g. facilities, buildings and equipment (from £1000 up to £15,000).
All projects need to be youth led, not adult/organisation led!! Adults can support young people but all projects and applications must be brought forward and led by young people themselves.
A project must benefit young people in Herefordshire and should meet at least 1 of the Every Child Matters outcomes. Projects within school curriculum time or part of normal school provision cannot be supported
Please promote this opportunity to young people, especially to those who don't normally get the chance to get involved and take part in activities.
Applications must be received by 29th September 2010 by completing a YOF application form. Projects must be completed by 28th February 2011. If there are any questions about the process or project ideas contact us for help before applying! A new application form is available now from this website (see below).
